The US President's calling on Iran to end the violence against its own people, after several weeks of anti-government demonstrations.
Joe Biden was speaking at Irvine Valley Community College in California.
He was responding to protests over the death of Mahsa Amini, who died in custody in Iran, after being detained over breaking laws on women's clothing:
"Women all over the world are being persecuted in various ways. They should able to wear whatever in God's name what they want to wear. No one should be telling them what to wear. And Iran has the end the violence against its own citizens simply exercising their fundamental rights".
