The World Health Organisation is warning that the "pandemic is accelerating".
There were more than 150,000 new cases of Covid-19 reported yesterday around the world - the most in a single day so far.
The WHO says that almost half of those cases were reported from the Americas, with large numbers also being from South Asia and the Middle East.
