There are now more 1.4 million cases of the coronavirus throughout the world.

And 82,000 people have lost their lives as a result of Covid-19.

The US is the worst hit area, with more than 400,000 cases and nearly 13,000 deaths.

Tedros Ghebreyesus, director-general of the World Health Organisation, is urging communities to stick together during the crisis.

"The Covid-19 continues to take a heavy toll on families and communities the world over.

"But it's also giving rise to incredible acts of generosity, solidarity and cooperation.

"We are all in this together, and we can only succeed together."
