President Zelenskyy's acknowledged Ukraine may have to concede territory to Russia ahead of peace talks between the two countries.
Meanwhile, President Biden says he wasn't calling for regime change in Russia when he said Vladimir Putin "cannot remain in power."
He's retracted comments he made during a speech in Warsaw on Saturday.
President Zelenskyy says he wants to make a deal with Moscow over Donbas, which has been partly controlled by Russian-backed separatists since 2014.
"I understand it's not possible to make Russia completely leave the territory that will lead to world war three.
"That's why I'm saying this is a compromise. Go back to where this all started, and then we'll try to solve the difficult Donbass issue."
