Irish truck drivers are being offered €25,000 to smuggle illegal immigrants into the country.
The Irish Road Haulage Association says truckers are being targeted every day by traffickers and stowaways.
It's claimed offers of between 5 and 25 thousand euro are being made.
Fine Gael MEP Maria Walsh says greater checks need to be carried out:
"Terrifying. It's ultimately important that we have stronger actions in these ports and as people are moving, so our hauliers are being protected from coercive control to travel with people. And that we just end this".
