An earthquake and tropical storm struck the island leaving several hundred thousand people homeless and at least 2-thousand dead.
Haiti is still recovering from the 2010 quake that killed over 200,000 people.
The Irish charity are today packing the aid which includes hospital beds, mattresses, PPE, bandages, crutches and nappies, for shipping.
They have enough humanitarian aid to fill three shipping containers, however they are struggling to meet sharply rising shipping costs

The Director of the Haiti Orphanage Project ESPWA, Kieran Tansey told RedFM News, that it costs up to 12 thousand euro to get the aid to where it's needed:
"We have no problems whatsoever sourcing the humanitarian aid that goes in. Our biggest issue is during COVID the worldwide supply of containers has been really diminished. It doubled the cost for the container. Then the cost to sent a container to Haiti is now about €5,000 so collection costs for us to collect all the goods, to fill it, buy it, send it, is now between 10 and 12,000 euros."
