Irish Economy Contracted By 1.9 Per Cent In Third Quarter Of 2023

The Irish economy contracted by 1.9 per cent in the third quarter of the year.

The CSO reports that it's the fourth consecutive quarter that GDP has contracted.

However, a measure of the domestic economy, was broadly unchanged in the three months to September.

Personal spending on goods and services increased by just under one per cent in the same period.
