The Irish economy contracted by 2 point 8 per cent in the first quarter of the year, as measured by GDP.
Modified Domestic Demand, which measures the domestic economy, rose marginally by zero point one per cent.
Personal spending rose by the same margin, according to the CSO.
National accounts for last year have also been published, showing GDP grew by 9 point 4 per cent in 2022, while personal spending increased by 9 point 4 per cent in the year.
