We’re contacted by students Conor and Ciara who, amongst others, were due to take up residence at Copley Court Student Rental Accommodation in the city centre in September. However, The Neil Prendeville Show has learned that essential maintenance and upgrades will have to be undertaken at the premises. Therefore the building will remain closed for the foreseeable future. We have a huge response to our slot on quirky Cork dog names! Our favourite's so far are 'Madra' the dog who only answers to Irish commands, 'Defor' (D for Dog), Baxter Funkadunk and Snoop Doggy Dog from Fairhill who has been through the wars! Neil updates with Celine, the grandmother of Cork Baby Josh, who is in Italy after having surgery to help him hear for the first time in his life. The HSE were going to pay for the procedure which will cost €75,000 but now they cannot cover the costs, which has meant the family have to sell their home.
