The Minister for Justice released the figures yesterday, showing an increase of 140% in the number of orders issued year-on-year.
However, Helen McEntee has previously admitted she cannot confirm whether the 648 voluntary deportations have left the country.
Aontú leader Peadar Tóibín says the government has no way to track if people leave or not:
"The government are promising that they're creating chartered flights in future to start the process of having stronger systems around this, and they're also promising an extra hundred Gardaí but the problem is that promises alone don't help enforcement."
