Kate Garraway has announced her husband Derek Draper has died after several years of serious ill health caused by coronavirus.
The 56-year-old former political adviser contracted the virus in March 2020, leaving him with extensive damage to his organs and needing daily care.
The TV presenter says she was "by his side holding his hand throughout the last long hours".
The pair were married in 2005 and had two children together.
