Season eight of Love Island has just wrapped up as Davide and Ekin-Su were crowned 2022 winners. This season host Laura Whitmore received a lot of backlash online after many were quick to criticize her hosting.
In a statement shared on Instagram yesterday evening, the Irish reality show host announced that she will not be returning to the next series of Love Island saying, "There are certain elements of the show I’ve found very difficult that cannot be changed some due to the format".
Many were shocked to hear the news as this is Whitmore's third time hosting the show. A new host has not been selected but speculation has already begun online.
