A leading psychotherapist is encouraging us to be kind to ourselves this month.
Today is Blue Monday, traditionally supposed to be the most depressing day of the year.
Many new years resolutions have already disappeared and the weather is cold and dark.
Psychotherapist Stella O'Malley says it can be a time for positive reflection:
"Now's the time to be kind to yourself. It's cold. It's the darkest time of winter. And so now's the time to be gentle with yourself, if your resolutions didn't work out, that's all right. That doesn't mean you have to be hung for sheep as a lamb. But you could think what is it about my life that's really getting in on me".
