The Tánaiste says legal issues have arisen surrounding the Events Centre.
It’s been close to 9 years since the sod was turned on the 6,000 seat venue.
More funding is now needed to build the centre which would be used for large conferences and concerts.
Speaking to RedFM News, Tánaiste Michéal Martin says the Government will make a decision on new issues with the Events Centre shortly:
"I haven't been kicking it down for 9 years I took a decision as Taoiseach to allocate funding to it along with my Government colleagues when we had a memorandum in 2021 and a detailed design followed that, and that increased funding required, it's not a funding issue in terms of capacity of funding but issues have arisen and legal issues have arisen. And the Government will be making a decision of the context of those issues very shortly."
