Locals in Ballinspittle are calling on the Council to do more to protect the village from flooding.
Flood relief works have proved successful, however home and business owners say they have been flooded twice in recent months by a new type of flooding.
Units of the Fire Service from Kinsale pumped up to seven inches of water from one shop in the village after heavy rain caused flooding at around 5am yesterday.
Speaking to RedFM News, owner of Chalk and Easel Emily Connell says there is a solution:
"They need to do more to get the water coming down from the top of the hill. It came into the fields behind us because it had nowhere else to go and once his field got saturated, obviously it comes in here. There should be drainage and that road up there definitely."
