"You wouldn't throw rubbish outside your front door so why would you throw it on the ground?"
That's the message from the Lord Mayor of Cork City as the city was ranked as "littered" by the Irish Business Against Litter survey.
Areas such as Cork City, Mahon and the Northside were reported to have heavily littered sites and and failing to improve
The survey also revealed that Cork, along with Dublin and Limerick city centres were littered to levels "not seen in 10 years" and that there's more litter on the streets due to outdoor socialising.
