The City's Lord Mayor has been urged to "reconsider his position" after he posed with a group of cyclists who took part in the Irish leg of the World Naked Bike Ride
World Naked Bike Rides began in 2002 to highlight the dangers on the road after the death of six cyclists in Spain and have since been replicated all over the world
Lord Mayor Cllr Dan Boyle posed with the naked cyclists for the annual photo on the steps of City Hall
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show Independent Councillor Ken O'Flynn has slammed the photo and says it undermines the office of Lord Mayor
"This has been disseminated on Twitter, there's no warning on it. We have somebody wearing the chain of office, and people felt it was inappropriate. And, you know, I think people have a very valid concern and a valid right to say that. I'm aware that this event has happened in the past and previous Lord Mayors have met with the groups. I think, perhaps, some of the photographs in the previous times have been a little more demure."
