Tristian Sherry was stabbed multiple times in a restaurant in Blanchardstown.

Tristan Sherry walked into a busy steakhouse in Blanchardstown on Christmas Eve with a machine gun and opened fire injuring a man in his 40s.

However it's believed as Tristan Sherry tried to flee the scene he got stuck as the door he tried to get out of was locked.

The 25 year old was then confronted, disarmed and stabbed multiple times.

He was pronounced dead a short time later in hospital.

The attack has been linked to a criminal feud.
