A man has been arrested after a suspected petrol bombing at a premises in Ballyvolane last night.
The incident happened at around 10.50pm on Ballincollie Road.
Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the incident and arrested a man in his 30's.
No one was injured in the incident and investigations are ongoing.
In a statement to RedFM News, Gardaí said:
"Gardaí responded to report of an incident of criminal damage at a business premises on Ballincollie Road, Ballyvolane, Cork city yesterday, Sunday 1st September 2024.
The incident occurred at approximately 10.50pm. There were no reports of injuries.
A man (30s) was arrested in relation to the incident and is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 at a Garda Station in Cork.
Investigations are ongoing. "
