A man has died after a road crash on the M7 in County Kildare.
Its the first road death of 2024.
This crash happened on the westbound side of the motorway at a quarter to 9 last night between Junction 12 Newbridge and Junction 13 Kildare.
A man in his 20s died after the car he was a passenger in, left the road and hit a grass bank.
The driver, also in his 20s, was taken to Tallaght University Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Two other men in the car, both in their 20s, didn't need medical treatment.
The section of the road is closed this morning as Gardaí carry out a technical exam of the scene.
Gardaí at Kildare are asking anyone with information or dash cam footage to come forward.
