Parts of Cork county could be at risk of flooding on Saturday morning as a high tide advisory is in place.
A period of supermoon spring tides are the primary driver for the elevated and high coastal levels over the weekend.
Cork County Council has activated its protocol for such an event
Met Eireann forecaster Mark Bowe says it will be a wet weekend and the potential for coastal flooding on Saturday morning is high:
"Saturday morning will be the worst part when the winds are southerly right over Cork when the tides are highest, but the winds start diminishing then from Saturday afternoon onwards."
