The Minister for Education says that the Government is working to support childcare facilities.
At least 30 centres closed in Cork last year as preschool owners say the current funding model is not enough.
The Department of Education says that the Minister for Children Roderic O’Gorman is very conscious of the current situation.
Speaking to RedFM News, Minister for Education Norma Foley says childcare facilities are being supported:
"I know Minister O'Gorman is very concious of that so there's work ongoing there and determination by the Minister to support facilities."
