The motorcyclist killed in a crash in Ballydesmond has been named locally.
Ger Fleming from Kerry died when his motorbike collided with a truck at Toureen-fineen near the Cork-Kerry border.
The man in his late 40's was the third motorcyclist to be killed in the space of 4 days in Cork this week.
The latest fatality brings to 11 the number of people killed on Cork roads so far this year.
