All eyes will be on Hollywood this afternoon as this year's Oscar nominations are revealed.
The Banshees of Inisheerin is tipped to feature prominently, after it picked up three awards at the Golden Globes earlier this month.
An Cailín Ciúin is expected to be named among the nominations in the Best International Film category.
Entertainment correspondent with the Irish Independent, Melanie Finn, says there are high hopes for the Banshees of Inisheerin.
"You're probably looking at best director for Martin McDonagh, best actor for Colin Farrell, supporting actor for Brendan Gleeson and Barry Keoghan.
"Also, I think the unsung hero of the show was Kerry Condon, she gave a beautifully subdued, nuanced performance as Colin Farrell's sister."
