The Hollywood Classic "Gone With The Wind" has been removed from the HBO Max streaming platform.
The company says the "ethnic and racial prejudices" that featured in the film "were wrong then and are wrong today".
It insists the movie will return to the platform when its historical context is discussed further and its racist depictions are denounced.
Hattie McDaniel became the first black woman to win an academy award for her portrayal of mammy in the movie.
Film critic Gordon Hayden says it's among the reasons why some people are upset to see it taken down from HBO Max.
