A murder investigation’s been launched following the death of a child in North Belfast
It happened last night in the Brompton Park area of the Ardoyne shortly after 8pm.
It's believed another child is in a critical condition in hospital.
One person has been arrested and is in the custody of the PSNI.
Ralph Hewitt is a journalist with Belfast Telegraph, he says people have been asked to not share details online.
"Local residents are shocked. Video footage and photos from the scene showed a number of residents were gathered around the scene where it happened in Brompton Park.
"Political representatives have appealed for speculation not to be shared on social media to avoid causing distress to those involved in the local community."
