A pathlologist has told a murder trial that a 29 year old man died from injuries sustained when he was attacked by two men in Carrigaline rather than a previous attack.

Ricardo Hoey of Ardcarrig, Carrigaline and Jordan Deasy, of Ravensdale, Heron's Wood, Carrigaline both deny murdering Matt O Neill at Glenwood estate, Carrigaline on December 28th, 2022.

The trial heard yesterday that Matt O’Neill was assaulted by three young people on December 24th, 2022 but Dr Margaret Bolster confirmed Mr O'Neil didn't suffer any head trauma.

Dr Bolster confirmed that the attack on the 28th of December resulted in his death.
