A number of high profile events in Cork are in doubt after the government announced plans to ban events of over 5,000 people.
The organisers of the Indiependence music festival in Mitchelstown say the event has been cancelled following the announcement and they will be in touch with ticket holders in the coming days.
It's expected Live at the Marquee, the Irish Independent Park gigs, Westlife's Páirc Uí Chaoimh concerts and a number of events like the Cork Summer Show and GAA matches will now be cancelled or postponed.
