Cork's RedFM has joined forces with Beat 102-103 and iRadio to stream a very special Heroes Aid Live concert to raise funds to help people on the front lines of the fight against Covid-19.
Radio stations all over the world have been providing a trusted source of news and entertainment during the current pandemic and now we want to do our part to protect the frontline.
Our three radio stations will stream a host of Ireland's finest musicians including Cork's own True Tides, and Stephanie Rainey alongside special guests Gavin James, Keywest, John Gibbons, The 2 Johnnies and Moncrieff on Sunday May 3rd from 7pm to raise vital funds for Heroes Aid.
So far the Heroes Aid campaign has raised over €130,000 for PPE and long term support for front line healthcare workers and their families.
RedFM's Dave Mac says you can make a huge difference to the effort:
"It's a sign of the times - we don't normally have virtual festivals!
"We're thrilled to be offering something new to our audience and brightening up their bank holiday weekend, while raising funds for Heroes Aid who are supporting our front-line workers who are supporting us - it's a win win from that perspective.
"And the beauty of it all is no portaloos, no muddy fields, no rain, event is not subject to license, and there's no ticket for entry - although a donation would be very much appreciated."
