Due to demand three more night has been added to the series of Garth Brooks concerts at Croke Park next year.
Tickets for two shows on September 9th and 10th went on sale this morning with Ticketmaster experiencing a high volume of queues online.
Promoters Aiken Promotions this morning announced that Garth will now also perform at GAA headquarters on September 11th, 16th and 17th 2022.
Tickets for these shows are on sale now on Ticketmaster.ie.
The country music star was in Dublin during the week to meet the press ahead of the tickets going on sale this morning. Brooks expressed his excitement and love for playing in Ireland and addressed the 2014 Garth-gate saga where hundreds of thousands of tickets were refunded as permission was not granted for all five shows. Brooks described the cancellation of the 2014 shows as being like a "death in the family".
Promoters had secured the permission to put on five shows on this occasion but only originally announced two.
When asked will he be performing all five concerts, Brooks said “I’d like to, but I’d also like to be six foot five and have abs.
“You had 400,000 tickets in one city and one show. There’s no way we are going to do those numbers again. Would I like it? Yes. Is it going to happen? I think it would be impossible.”
