A forensic search of the area where a girl was attacked in Co. Kilkenny yesterday has been carried out this morning.
The 17 year old was walking near her home in Johnstown when an unknown man attacked her.
It comes just weeks after the murder of 23 year old Offaly school teacher Ashling Murphy, which sparked a nationwide conversation about violence against women.
Sarah Benson from Women's Aid says says the conversation needs to continue as well as broaden:
"Unfortunately, we were reflecting on some of the most appalling manifestations of violence against women with with the murder of Ashling Murphy. But the fact is that every single day, there are countless acts of sexism and harassment and these near misses, which I suppose you could refer to these cases."
