A fourth person has died on the roads in the space of 12 hours.

It brings to 97 the number of people killed in road crashes so far this year, with 12 of those fatalities on Cork roads

A man in his 80s died in a two-car crash at Gartlandstown in Castlepollard in Co Westmeath this morning, hours after another man in his fifties died in crash nearby at Teevrevagh yesterday evening.

Meanwhile in Mayo, 46 year old Aisling Moore and her young daughter 8 year old Abbigael Moore-Tournié died in a collision at Foxford yesterday evening.

A man in his 80s died in a two-car crash at Gartlandstown in Castlepollard in Co Westmeath this morning, hours after another man in his fifties died in crash nearby yesterday evening.
