The alcohol industry continues to get away with "murder" in Ireland.
That's according to Alcohol Action Ireland, whose new report shows some progress has been made in tackling alcohol harm, including banning advertising on the field of play at sporting events.
However, its CEO, Dr. Sheila Gilheany, says more needs to be done around broadcasting watersheds and controlling the content of advertising.
She says the recent regulations on the gambling industry prove that where there's a will, there's a way.
"When you look at the consequences of alcohol use, four people die every day in Ireland. That's every single day four people die.
"If you were to compare that to anything else, if there was that number of road deaths every day, you would say we'd have to do something about it."
