"Alexa- what's the craic?"
That's one of the questions you'll be able to ask your Amazon smart speaker, now that it has an Irish accent.
The Irish Independent reports the move will affect hundreds of thousands of smart speakers here.
Amazon has localised "th" sounds to differ from those in the US and the UK, while words ending with the letters g, h, t will sound more like s and h.
Alexa will also recognise Irish phrases like "who's your man?".
The new Irish accent will only be available as a female voice for now.
