Over 90% of HAP properties failed to meet required standards.
The Echo report that properties inspected by Cork City Council showed that 92% of HAP properties failed their initial inspection, with 80% of those failing their second inspection and 34% failing to meet required standards after a third inspection.
Over 3,000 properties were inspected by a private firm between the fourth quarter of last year and the second quarter of this year.
The main reasons properties failed inspections were dued to fire safety concerns, ventilation issues and problems with gas, oil and electricity.
