An Economist Says He Expects Rents To Fall Over The Next Year

Cormac Lucey says the country is already in recession, which in turn will lead to a decrease in job growth and increase in unemployment, especially in the gig economy.

The pandemic has led to huge market uncertainty, with the latest figures from the exchequer showing July's tax take was down €983 million compared to the same month last year.

The latest Daft.ie rent report reveals the average rent in the city is now €1,397 and €1,036 in the County.
