An Post is asking customers not to worry about parcels being delivered to them.
It's handling over 2,000,000 parcels a week as a result of a surge in online shopping, which has led to some delays.
Around the same time last year, it processed 900,000 parcels weekly.
Managing director of mail and parcel at An Post, Garrett Bridgeman says they are able to manage the increased demand:
"The volumes are huge. People have moved to buying online during this period.
"What's happened in the last couple of weeks, during the level 5 restrictions retailers have had to shut their doors in this heavy trading period in the run up to Christmas.
