The funeral of murdered school teacher Ashling Murphy is taking place in Co Offaly this morning.
It's being held in Mountbolus at 11 o'clock - when schools across Ireland will also hold a minute's silence.
The 23-year-old was killed while running along the Grand Canal, near Tullamore, last Wednesday afternoon.
Micheál Cunningham's 22-year-old daughter, Ciara Campbell, was murdered in Co Carlow in 2007.
He says there are similarities between the two cases.
"Another beautiful young woman has been slain.
"The shock, and pain and hurt that the families have gone through to have someone taken away from you is just hard to describe.
"I'm sure the Murphy family are feeling the way we have been feeling the last 14 years now. To have someone taken away from you, that you've loved and cared for and seen grown up, the pain is just unreal."
