Colin Farrell has won the Best Actor in a musical or comedy award at the Golden Globes.
It was one of a hat-trick of accolades for the Irish film 'The Banshees of Inisherin' which was among the big winners at the ceremony in Beverly Hills.
The movie which was filmed on Achill Island in Co. Mayo also won Best Picture - Musical or Comedy and Best Screenplay for writer Martin McDonagh.
It was Colin Farrell's second Golden Globe.
During his acceptance speech, Farrel thanked director McDonagh, and his co-star Gleeson.
"Martin McDonagh - thank you so much. 14 years ago, you put me working with Brendan Gleeson, my dance partner, and you changed the trajectory of my life forever in ways I will be begrudgingly grateful for the rest of my days.
"I never expect the films I work on to find an audience but when they do it's shocking to me so I am so horrified by what has happened around Banshees over the last couple of months in a thrilling kind of way."
"Brendan, I love you so much.
"To get to cohabitate this creative space with you every day, all I did when I came to work every day was to aspire to be your equal. I'm not saying I even got there, but the aspiration kept me going and I will thank you for that for the rest of my days also."
Soak in the WIN! Congratulations to our winner for Best Actor - Motion Picture - Musical/Comedy, Colin Farrell! ✨😌
