Boy B has withdrawn his appeal against his conviction for the murder of Ana Kriègel.
The now 18-year-old was just 13 when he lured the Kildare schoolgirl to her death in May 2018.
His friend, dubbed Boy A because neither of them can be identified, was also convicted of her murder following a lengthy trial the following year.
Frank Greaney is in Court for RedFM News and he says it was also confirmed that Boy B's sentence will not be challenged:
"Boy B's barrister James Dwyer has confirmed that his client wishes to withdraw his appeal. Obviously there was no objection from Brendan Green who successfully prosecuted the case. Boy B did address the court a number of times simply to confirm his wish to withdraw the challenge against his murder conviction, and he also confirmed that he knew the consequences of doing so."
