There's a call on the Justice Minister to start an independent inquiry into the GSOC officer who resigned.
The officer is alleged to have attended a house party at which Gerry Hutch also attended after he was acquitted of the Regency Hotel murder, a week ago.
Labour's Justice spokesperson Aodhán Ó Ríordáin has written to Minister Simon Harris.
He says GSOC shouldn't be investigating its own staff member.
"We can't have GSOC investigating themselves.
"We need an outside agency - I've suggested a retired judge or a senior counsel - to look over the facts, to look over this incident and see what learnings can come from it, because certainly there is a huge amount of disquiet over it.
