Insurance companies are being called on to pass on the benefits to policy holders of what it described as a dramatic reduction in claims.
The Alliance for Insurance Reform says there was a significant reduction in the numbers of cases taken to the High Court last year
The Director of the Alliance Peter Boland says the figures were down considerably in 2022.
"The number of high court personal injury cases being initiated has dropped dramatically in 2022 for the first three quarters of the year.
"The average number of new cases being investigated in the High Court has dropped down to 223 per month. And that compares to 666 a month in 2019."
