There are calls from within Fianna Fáil to allow Bertie Ahern back into the party.
A meeting of the parliamentary party heard contributions to allow the former Taoiseach to rejoin ahead of the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement next year, according to the Irish Examiner.
Mr. Ahern resigned from the party in 2012 following the Mahon Tribunal.
