There are calls for the fast-tracking of work permits and PPS numbers for international hospitality workers, as the industry continues to struggle post-pandemic.
Some business owners are calling for immigrants seeking work to be processed at the same rate as Ukrainian refugees.
Hotelier Lorraine Sweeney says the sector needs more attention if its to recover:
"I think some exceptions have to be made now. I think, this is a critical period. I definitely think the government has to sit down. We're only on the periphery, in terms of our issues, and we don't have a loud voice. I mean, we don't have tractors like the farmers have, or lorries like the transport sector has, that they can drive through the city and they get noticed".
