The CAO portal will have options for further education and apprenticeships included for the first time when it goes live later today.
The full range of third level options will be available to apply for through a central portal.
More than 400 PLC courses will be available alongside information on apprenticeships and higher education options.

Minister of State for Skills and Further Education, Niall Collins, says apprenticeships aren't a lesser form of education.
"There has been some stigma attached to some apprenticeships, and we've been very conscious to mainstream apprenticeships to the centre of the landscape of our entire further and higher education options.
"By availing of an option of an apprenticeship through the CAO we feel we're making a positive step towards integrating apprenticeships into further and higher education."
