Car users in Cork will face extra tolls, parking fee hikes and reduced road space under plans to reduce emissions.
That's according to the Business Post newspaper, which reports that the Department of Transport is looking at ways to reduce car journeys.
The measures are focused on the five cities, Cork, Dublin, Limerick, Waterford and Galway, but will affect car commuters who visit cities often too.
Officials are also reportedly looking at re-allocating road space from car use, to make room for pedestrians and cyclists.
