Ceremony takes place in Leinster House to commemorate Arthur Griffith

A wreath-laying ceremony will take place on Leinster House Lawn at noon today to mark the centenary of the death of Arthur Griffith.

The republican leader established Sinn Féin in 1905.

He also led the delegation that signed the historic Anglo-Irish Agreement in London in 1921.

Fine Gael Leader Leo Varadkar says Arthur Griffith devoted his life to end British rule in this Country.
