The Children's Minister is promising a drop in childcare costs after the budget.
Roderic O'Gorman says the proposal to reduce fees could see parents getting a saving of 200 euro in their monthly creche fees.
Elaine Dunne from the Federation of Early Childcare Providers says they don't know yet how it will work, and also that it doesn't go far enough:
"We all want the parents to see change. Absolutely - they so deserve it. But there's also an issue around viability of businesses for us as providers on the ground. And we're going to see a lot of closures coming in the coming months and year, because people... Core funding has not cut it for them. A lot of people feel they were coerced into signing up to core funding and they had no choice".
