The Department and Attorney General are currently going through a 4,000 page report from the Commission of Investigation.
The government's had to clarify that survivors are legally entitled to see their personal data - after controversy over a law passed about access to records.
Children's Minister Roderic O'Gorman says he doesn't want there to be any delay in publishing the report;
"Myself and the entire Government are absolutely committed to publishing this as soon as possible," he said.
"There is no desire to keep survivors of Mother and Baby Homes and the County homes that were investigated waiting for this information one moment longer than is necessary."
