Citizens' Assembly On Directly Elected Mayor For Dublin Holds First In-Person Meeting This Morning

The Citizens' Assembly on a Directly Elected Mayor for Dublin is holding its first in-person meeting this morning.

Former Dublin Football manager Jim Gavin will chair the meeting, which will consist of 67 randomly selected citizens of Dublin and 12 elected councillors.

Author Roddy Doyle will address the meeting with his interpretation of what Dublin is.

The Assembly will consider the benefits, risks and challenges of a directly elected Mayor for Dublin.
